Maybe, but you'd be the king of the KOA.

Unless I'm reading the details in the description wrong, the body is likely just a training mockup and not actual MRAP armor.  So you have everything that sucks about MRAPs without the one thing they supposedly offer?

Or am I missing something?

358 Miles and 56 hours. Sounds like it's almost unused.

I was thinking the same thing, until I noticed it's at Wright-Patterson.

Hmmmm.

How much time does that patrol car in your avatar spend running when it's not moving?

Being the only guy on your block to have one. It would definitely make for an interesting conversation piece / Memorial Day parade entrant.

Might make a good mockup for a prop company that rents military vehicles to film crews, like Army Trucks Inc.

No.

It's a trainer.

But it would still get the chicks.

I'd love that truck.  Seriously cool.

It's most likely a viz mod built to make sure that the units were compatible with the airlift commands aircraft. Wouldn't do to build a couple thousand units only to find they aren't air transportable. The fact it's at wright Patterson might be a giveaway to its use lol

Listed condition

Unserviceable - condemned-salvage
H = Material which has been determined to be unserviceable and does not meet repair criteria. X = Property has some value in excess of its basic material content, but repair or rehabilitation and/or uneconomical.

I've watched DRMO establish condition codes.

It's not very scientific.

Is there a way to determine a more accurate condition (going to it to inspect is not an option)? I have wanted to bid on a few things over the years but never did due to listed condition.

They have more than one there.  I saw them when I picked up a couple M105A2 trailers a while ago.  I asked about them and the counter guy said they're neat looking, but that's all they're good for.  It's only a training mockup, thin steel troop compartment.

I've driven every deuce and a half I ever got off the lot.   Sometimes as much as 600+ miles.

I'd say you're right.

It will allow you to sneak into the FEMA camps after the right wing round up I guess

The truck is absolutely a novelty only at this point.  Worthless for hauling anything.  Any significant armor added to the troop compartment would likely make it top heavy and unstable.

I don't care that much about it being real armor or not, it's still a 5 ton truck with working A/C!...now that's luxury.
