Ive got ammo for sale in EE, dude from Socialist land wants to buy it. Whats the deal with me shipping it to him, is this legal?

Well to keep it legal, he would need to send you a copy of his FOID card and his IL drivers license. Also no ammo sales to a Chicago address iirc.

Give him a discount for being behind enemy lines. As long as he isn't a cop

As I've said before here. I won't cross that river unless I'm part of an invading force or on an airplane. Personally, I'd decline due to the risk. But I'm a little paranoid and cautious due to past experiences with IL.

I would have him fax his FOID and DL just to be safe and I personally would not ship any ammo to a Chicago address and I live here. Cover your own ass.

An out of state resident can walk into an Illinois gunshop and buy rifle ammo. No FOID required. Not handgun ammo, though, unless it is for a carbine that chambers it.

Back in the shortage of 2008-09 when I was an IL resident.....Asked for copy of IL foid and a ammo statement about no local, state, or federal laws prohibiting the purchasing of this ammo...and had no problem.....My best customer for .22lr was the Cook Co. Coroner...

i tried to buy ammo in a WalMart in Illinois and was told they couldnt sell to me without a FOID card.

Even showed them my out of state drivers license.

So did I. Was told no ammo without FOID or Illinois hunting license.

Im with you, Ive got a house/land in Iowa, overlooking Mississippi/Illinois, I didnt go there unless I had to. I didnt want to give them any of my tax money.

But the question I have is, if I dont see his FOID card, can I get in trouble or would that be on him?
