I was wondering since it think it would be a cool project and g3 mags are plentiful and still cheap.

CMMG was producing them but only as a stripped or complete lower, I don't think they made a complete rifle. It didn't have a bolt hold open feature anyway (I think) so HK/PTR/Cetme rifles are the probably the best way to get some use out of those cheap G3 mags.

Saw one of these guns (complete) in Conroe, TX at Sportsmans Guns and Ammo.

great idea to take advantage of cheap plentiful quality made 762x51 mags,too bad it didnt catch on

I was all set to buy a CMMG lower and decided to wait for a few reviews and waited too long

I still have about 25 G3 mags I bought long ago. Don't have a rifle. But the mags were a good deal.
