God extended His mercy to them while they were alive, offerring the free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ.
They chose to REJECT His Son, and carry out an act of murder and war. Now they are dead. Now they face the Creator whose face they spit in. Scripturally, the time of mercy is over. Now its time for eternal damnation for them. |

I take solice in the fact that the pope is old and practically the walking dead. He probably doesn't know what the hell he's saying. Lets hope he's "replaced" soon.
His recent statements lead me to believe that he's trying to ease tensions between islam and christianity, but he's a blithering idiot if he thinks he can make a difference. (Unless he pushes the launch button.) |

The Pope is simply doing what he, as the Pope, must do. It's no surprise. Hell, he even forgave the piece of pig shit that tried to murder him!
Others can quote the Gospels all they want. In this war, I'll quote the brilliant individual (some say it was Gen. The new trend of Pope bashing on this site is sickening! I do take comfort in the fact that the "Pope Bashers" get so worked up over something that someone so "insignificant" said.
BTW...no matter how insulting you are...the Pope/Church will always be there in your time of need. |

Perhaps someting along the lines of "Father, forgive tham, for they know not what they do."
The Lord will judge them by their deeds, including the rejection of Christ's peace; and, their salvation may indeed be lost by their failure to acknowledge Him. Not for me to say. But, what greater victory for the Lord than for them to acknowledge and reject their evil. Perhaps some will, and instead of grinning in arrogance, reject Satan. |
