Had a beef burrito. It was average at best. I'd much prefer Taco Cabana, but there aren't any here.
Anyway, that was several hours ago, and now I have what I call "The Chipotle Ass"........Febreze cannot help this situation. Wife's nose is turned up now, not sure if I'll be getting any later on tonight. Thanks Chipotle. |

I've had one recently as well , taco bell makes better burritos.
it's not great, and not Mexican by any stretch of the imagination.

taco bell makes better burritos. OMFG - someone who actually eats at Taco Hell We found the ONE Person! Chipotle is about a million times better than any Taco Hell |
If you are looking for that style of place Bullritos is far superior.
Chipolte will nickel and dime you to starvation. Qdoba is 100% better.

For Mexican food in Houston I like ninfas, mamasitas, and pappasitos.

Haters gonna hate, but I like their chicken burrito occasionally
granted there are better places for burritos, but they are not near where I work and easily accessible for lunch |
People here camped outside the door for a week waiting for it to open.
I went in about a month after it opened and the food was only OK. Baja Bistro has MUCH better burritos. |
You have Chipotle but not Taco Cabana? In Texas?
Where are you, in some God forsaken part of the state like Lubbock? |
Quoted: Chipolte will nickel and dime you to starvation. Qdoba is 100% better. I've been to both a few times and didn't really like either one, but I thought the meat quality was better at Chipotle. That was a few years ago, so maybe they have changed. I usually go to Freebirds for a this type of food (but I wouldn't exactly call it Mexican food). |

The things people eat claiming it's mexican food. May not be authentic Mexican food (though the one by me has authentic Mexicans working there ), but I like their steak tacos. They are just a little too pricey. |
Overrated and overpriced. It's just an 8 dollar torilla stuffed with rice. I can make that at home for a 25 cents.
Chipotle to me means $$$ version of Taco Bell. I usually get the bowl along with a fountain drink comes out to 8.91.

Barbacoa is only viable option @ Chipotle.

A dare: try a Chipotle burrito without any salsa.
You'll see how tasteless and nasty they are. Effectively nothing more than a rice-filled tortilla. Other than the grilled peppers and onions, none of their ingredients can stand up on their own. And grilled peppers and onions aren't anything special. |

Need to change my location on my profile. That makes more sense. It is hard to find a city in Texas that has a Chipotle but not a Taco Cabana. You are on your own for decent Tex-Mex once you get north of the Red River or east of Sabine Pass. |

Just had a bowl there about a week ago, it was food
They didn't have chipotle sauce which was disappointing |

I found their barbacoa beef is decent, and their hot salsa is passable.
Trying to eat a meal there without those two things would be severely disappointing I think. |

it's not great, and not Mexican by any stretch of the imagination. Yep, if you want Mexican stay away from the chain restaurants and stick to the Mom and Pops. |

The steak is good if it's fresh, but if it's been sitting a while it dries out and isn't as good. But yeah the hot salsa has pretty good flavor. |

Freebirds is good if you're in TX. Are they better in Texas? Because the one I eat at here in California is amazing. |

I've still yet to try one. Definitely not missing anything- as others have said, bland and overpriced. Moe's is a better deal if that's your thing. |
Decent food. If you want 'real' Mexican flavor you might be dissapointed. Damn long line every time I go to the local one.
I don't mind it when I'm looking for something different for lunch... They certainly use better meat, fresher veggies and salsa etc, than taco hell, that is for sure.
chipotle dosent screw up my guts at all.....
I love taco bell |
I like Mission, Freebird's, and Bullrito's. Chipotle will work in a pinch....

we like Chipotle, usually get the burrito bowl. I just try to avoid the it downtown - sometimes have you basic
thug-wanna-be making the food |

Hmmm...I wonder if he got the idea for the name from Hector's Taco Flats in Austin? |

Illegal Pete's is better than Chipotle, and Chipotle is better than Qdoba. And anyone who thinks that Taco Bell is better than any of those is just plain funny ... Anyway, my standard order at Chipotle is a Chicken Fajita burrito with three salsas (pico, green, and corn) plus cheese and sour cream. It's plenty good. |
