2007 Merlot.

Not too bad for a cheap wine. Anybody else doing wine today?

Nope, scotch and a cigar here.

Nothin' wrong with that.

Two vines from Columbia Crest and Leese-Fitch Cabernet

Something called Mo Zin from Spann Vineyards. I've been saving this for awhile since my son is named Moses and we call him Mo.  Decided it was time to drink it.  Not the best choice for turkey dinner, but a pretty good wine.

I prefer a Zinfandel or my current favorite varietal, Malbec.

Naked Grape Pinot Grigio

The old lady gets upset when I use it for cooking.

Tonight:  2007 Heitz cabernet.

Never had a Malbec but I do have a Louie Jadot Beaujolais I may open later.

If you like a lighter red, you will enjoy the Jadot. That's the wine that got me into reds.

Actually I like full bodied dry reds but I can appreaciate a light and fluffy one
once in a while. Also they should be drunk when young anyway and this one is 2010.
Getting old.

2005 Paul Hobbs Hyde Vinyard pinot noir.  Great with the turkey and now relaxing and finishing the bottle.

Two bottles of Stags leap for TG, but we buy Rodney Strong and Layer Cake all the time.  Affordable and consistently good.

ETA: note: all three are Cabernet Sauvignon

There are several Malbecs available here in WA.  It seems to be growing in popularity.
The only one I didn't like was the Layer Cake, to to be confused with the Cupcake which is good.
The other vintners a[|)have been good.
They're all from Argentina, there is a winery in Wenatchee making Malbec, but they use it in one of their blends, not by itself.
I haven't seen any domestics that I know of.
Try a bottle.

I will try one.

I have a bottle of 2007 Mondavi Merlot, will probably open at Christmas. Robert Mondavi, it seems,
has always made a good wine.
