I'm not sure what you're describing. But if they do not seem to be bounded by any particular element or part of the page, I would suspect a browser hijack.
A piece of spyware that runs on top of your browser displaying content. |

Then you have to wait, or X it off the page. It seems to be ads the page is hosting, and they want to make sure you see it I guess. |

They are using dynamic html to put ads in the page. Adblock works to block some of it. Disabling javascript should also work, but that may make the page totaly unusable.

download malwarebytes and firefox with the adblock add on.

Yeah, Adblock and NoScript plugins for Firefox kill much of it - but there is still a lot. They keep getting trickier to deal with. And I hate that web sites won't work at all without JS or something else going on. Try to block ads, or stop something else from happening, and all of the sudden the page has no content at all... |
