If it was an LX hatch 5 speed car Id already be tearing the motor out. Its hard to find a nice Fox body around here anymore that someone hasnt got confused with a 69 Boss 429 when it comes to pricing it.
Id like to dump the money into a 347cid and traction. I know the horrors of trying to keep a Fox convertible together and the suck of living with 4:10s or 4:56s in the rear.
Im 38, its the car of my youth and its the only one Ive owned over the years that I miss. A Springfield Pro isnt something you can just walk into a gunshop and buy without getting raped on the price. And the 1911 is the gun equivalent of the Fox Mustang to me.
So its basically, I can pay more for the car possibly. The owner really wants this pistol and get back on the 2 year waiting list for a replacement for another Pro.
As I typed that last sentence. Screw it, Im keeping the Pro if I cant make a deal I'll keep looking for a nice 4 banger LX. The wife is the one thats into the converts, not me.
