What you did there...

I sees it.

RIP Bear.  1990-1999.  (way before digital cameras)

He made it through being lost for 10-11 days, SX to repair the hip that was broken after being hit by a car while he was lost, moving to Colorado (twice), moving in w my folks when I met my wife (she's allergic to dags.  Still wondering if I made the right decision there.  )  But he just couldnt resist chasing that damn deer out of my parents yard that Friday Evening.  The guy who hit him cried like a little girl.  So did I later that night when I buried him.

Maggie, She's a fox red lab. She is 50% mine until after her second litter and then she will transfer 100% to us. We kept her from 7 weeks to 6 months and she went back for a few months of training. She came back around 10 months and will stay here until 2 when she goes to have her first litter.

Day she came home.

About 6 months old here, just before she left to go train for a few months

When she got home from her week vacation at the vets after eating her 6' nylon leash

This was the day my wife came home from the hospital and our daughters were still in the NICU....she laid down for a nap, and Kinder was immediately up there with her for comfort.

Checkin out the girls when they came home.

Brandy.  Lab/GSD.  She came to live with us at 1.5yrs from the local pound.

If I'm doing it, she's doing it.

She loves the granddaughter, but makes sure she's always first.

In the four years I've had her I can count on one hand the times I've been out in the garage without her.

I'm pretty sure she's a lab.Her parents were labs anyway, unless the breeder hoodwinked me.I do get that question a lot though.

Oh shit!  We were going to name our dog that!

We also used to have a female dog that we named Kaia (k-eye-ah).

Anyway, ours was already named Finn but had been a Foster dog his whole life.  We ended up just keeping it even though he didn't reply to it all that well.  It stuck and he knows it's his name now.  He's gone leaps and bounds since we got him.  I couldn't let go of him or else he would be gone.  Now, I can let him run free in the field by our house.

The hardest thing for him, though, is the lack of other dogs.  He loves it here and knows it's his home; it's obvious.  But I know he misses playing with friends all day.  He has a ball when I visit my brother and sister and our 3 dogs are together.

I love the group dog picks in here.....they're great!  Wish my wife and the landlords would let us have just 1 more.
