Title says it all. Got a new iPhone 4s and am looking for a case. Would appreciate some input.

Thanks

Probably the perfect case.

Ok for $10. I got the field case on my iPhone 4. My has warped a little at two corners so it is kinda easy to pop the phone out. It also collects oil on the inside for some weird reason. Dunno if they've solved those problems yet.

I like mine, they stretch out a little after a while so its not quite as snug as new.

Good balance of rubbery vs slippery.

Great case, very slime. I like mine. It doesn't offer as much protection as other cases, I'm sure, but I have dropped mine more than a few times. I have yet to break the glass or anything. Plus, it comes in different colors!

I had the same experience.  Moved to a Lifeproof case, which is really what I needed in the first place.

I like it for a low impact light duty case.

I also like to put it in my magwell

Do the cases have a lip that rises above the screen?

slight.

it won't scratch on a flat, even surface like most tables etc, but a screen protector film would always help.

i run my iphone4s in a magpul case bareback with no screen protector.  lol I said run my iPhone on purpose, operatoroperatoroperator

It's a piece of shit. They make great firearm kit but lousy phone cases.

I traded my otter box for a Magpul and a Zagg screen cover. Perfect combination.

I got the "executive field case", and I really like it.

If you're hard on your gear, and anticipate needing it to be waterproofed, and dropping it from rooftops, then maybe you need
a more "protective" case.

If you just want something that will fit in a pants or shirt pocket, this is THE best case out there, especially for the money.

Years ago, when I got a 3GS, I got an incase rubber case that is very similar, and it was 30 fucking bucks!

Some of you guys are 'tards. It's like comparing a gig bag to an anvil road case. Different application.

There are much better offerings out there.

My current:
Rokform fusion

Avoid Otterbox, they are all hype. I broke 3 of their cases in a month before I gave up on them.

Better than nothing, but doesn't compare to an Otterbox or Lifeproof in terms of protection.  You get what you pay for.

It was never ment to be that sort of case either.

My Volkswagen Jetta isn't a good for off roading either.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I like the lifeproof, but not looking for an $80.00 case. I think I'll give I a try. Happy 4th everyone!

They're not that great.

Within a few months they get warped and the phone moves around inside them.  I use them just cause they're low profile and offer SOME impact protection but they're way overhyped on arfcom.

Love my iPhone. Battery life sucks. Boost case with integrated battery most of the time. Magpul for the clubs/when I want it slim.

I bought one for my iPhone 4 when they first came out.  It has the tendancy to turn off my ringer because the corners are streched out/loose.  I hope the newer cases are a bit tigher.

I got a Boostcase hybrid, battery when you want it, slim case when you want it.

I do like the magpul case, would still be using it if I didn't need the extra battery.

I have Trident case for my Phone (the Aegis series) and it's nice and thin and compact, yet offers good protection.

As stated before, for ultimate protection the Kraken II series is built like a tank. Built-in heavy duty screen protector, inner silicone sleeve with hard plastic outer body, and silicon bumpers on the corners.

My ex girlfriend had one on her phone and she liked it a lot. You can also get it in some nice colors, OD-green being one.

ETA

The Kraken II is on the same level as the Otterbox Defender series, but a little more stylish looking, the otterboxes are awesome (got one for my Tablet) but enormous.

Yep!

I dropped my phone one time and hacky sacked the fucker right back into my hands. If you can count to potato, an SKB rifle case would be a safe bet for your phone

Jokingly serious.

Just traded up my iPhone 3G for a 4s.  Had an otterbox on the 3g.  It looks like new, and it took a few rides.  Got an otterbox for my 4s.  Looks like they learned from a lot of the shortcomings of the older cases and this one should be even better.

i have the field case on mine. my wife had an executive on hers. the executive stretched out to a point that it wouldn't hold the phone in anymore. i bought her a Griffon Survivor. mine is still tight but i'm looking for a new one with something that will cover and seal the charger port and headphone jack from dust and other pocket crap.

the case is what it is. it did survive a short fall and it landed on concrete, but i broke the fall with my foot first.

i'll probably end up with a Survivor since i can get one at walmart.
