If I remember correctly, in "Unintended Consequences" Henry Bowman had his 44 mag pistol loaded with handloads containing nylon rod stock in place of lead bullets.  These were effective at taking out certain people in an airplane without danger of collateral damage.

Does anybody know if this technique works?  If so, would it not make an excellent in-the-cockpit round to arm pilots with?

I'm reading that now.  Interesting book so far.  Don't know about nylon bullets, though.
