I've been trying to play guitar since 1989.   I get good at it sometimes when I'm really drunk.

I was in a garage band (a couple of them) when I was entering adulthood.   It was a good experience.  I encourage getting on stage.

This, I can't play any kind of instrument worth a damn past two drinks.

And yes I do play electric guitar.

Guitar is harder than riding a motorycle or driving a fast sports car to its limit.  Or maybe the same.  It's about making music.

I play air guitar sometimes if I'm in a really great mood.

Other than that, no.

I'm pretty good with G, C, D, A, and E. Other than that it's a no-go. Don't ask me to play a solo unless you want to hear 3 notes repeatedly.

Come to think of it, I would be fuckin badass in a punk band.

I've been playing since 1962. Played in bands in the mid and late sixties. Now I mostly just play my
Takamine acoustic, but I will pull the Telecaster out ever once in a while.

yeah I learned when I was about 13

I played it pretty heavy until I was about 28,  after that  most the friends I knew who played as well, died or moved off, or turned to drug adicted fuck ups.  with no one around to play with , i slowly stopped

I still cant play pretty good, when i feel like getting it out and fooling with it

i played in a band and was in several local concerts, never cared to show it off though, i learned just to entertain myself

No, but I still have all my guitars, amps, and pedals from when I did.

Haven't played one in years now.

Been playing off and on since 86'.  Don't play very much anymore.  Thinking about selling most of it now.  I've got a Gibson Les Paul Custom and a Explorer, as well as a Marshall JCM800 reissue/Orange 4x12cab.   Couple other small amps and another 1-2K in effects/recording equipment.

I'll play for a half hour or so every couple weeks.  When I do, it's always the same stuff.  I don't have any motivation to learn anything new.

I love tone in a guitar.  Some of them are delightful to play, like an accurate fiream is to shoot.

Been playing for 22 years.  Can't play for shit dunk, but few drinks before a show to take the edge off, does help.

I started playing middle school, and I was less than mediocre, I got decent at the 4 string electric bass, though, and played bass in two different garage bands.

I only played live with one of them and then only a few times.

Good times though, definitely builds character.

I haven't played any instrument in . . . years - my gun obsession takes up all of my extra cash

Nope.  I gave it a shot a few years ago but I just don't have it.  I built a frankenstrat from an ash Warmoth body and the rest is all 57 reissue strat.  It has beautiful tone and I can't play it for shit.
