Actually the person of sand from Star Wars rolls back and forth in the film just like your gif. Bet you never noticed that.

Yes, I knew that, and for further trivia what was he actually doing during the filming itself? He just raised his hands once. But in editing Lucas decided it would look better to have him shake his staff so he had the editing crew grab a few frames from right before his hands were fully above his head and rock it back and forth 5 times while they added in the three other "grunt/howl" noises (it was only supposed to be one).

I have the collectors edition too with Lucas' commentary
