Haley Barbour or Jim Demint.

Honestly, this recent MS transplant doesn't care for Barbour. Mainly because I had a cold right after I moved here and needed some sudafed.

Jim Demint for sure.

Alan Keyes is the one that could knock the door down right now. Obama wouldn't have a chance. Last time he ran against him it was a last minute thing. On the national stage he would get to debate the POTUS in office now, and would utterly destroy him.

Pretty damn conservative and squeaky clean.

I was hoping Jim DeMint would have jumped into the race a few months back. I honestly think he missed a real opportunity. DeMint would be world's above the current candidates.

No one any of us have ever known.

How many of you on here have actually know or met a running candidate before the media said "Hey, Americans, pick from one of these pre selected candidates for your voting pleasure."

I know some have, but percentage wise I would bet most were introduced to their options by the Associated Press or television.

Can Arfcom start a write in campaign?

Palin should be on a book tour.   Or maybe a reality show.   She knows where the money is.   And she is smarter than I gave her credit for in the past.   Even she knows she isn't electable.

I think we all know Paul would never acquiesce to that. It was unfortunate what happened. It is also unfortunate that John Bolton, after months of consideration, declined to run. What we have left is absolutely craptastic; all of them but Paul support big government to some degree; most are less than honest about it at best. Paul is a total loon when it comes to foreign policy.

Gary Johnson.

He didn't have a terrific debate when they actually let him but that's no excuse, it's the party's own fault, pathetic that a guy with his record couldn't find any support in the GOP.

LOL!    No, but seriously.     You really think anyone in hell with BUSH as their last name will be elected in the next 5 decades after the HORRIBLE presidency GW Bush had?

He spent massive amounts of cash in the name of wars and everything else, second only to the current ass.    And before the blame train arrives. .... I voted for the cur.
