Kenya Parents Attack Teachers Over Exams Results

NAIROBI, Kenya
–– The chairman of the Kenyan teachers' union says angry parents are
attacking teachers nationwide after their children's dismal performance
in a national exam.

Wilson Sossion of the Kenya National Union
of Teachers said Thursday that rioting parents have forcefully closed at
least 10 primary schools. They are angry that their children failed
national exams that determine if the children get into high school.

Government statistics show that more than half the 760,000 children who sat the examination last year may not go to high school.

"My Kenyan dint do nuffin."

Wouldn't it be "childrens' bad test scores"? Or does all of Kenya only have one child?

Just saying...the uneducation doesn't seem limited to Kenyan children.

I guess every Kenyan parent dreams that their child will grow up to be the POTUS.

Parents always want a better life for their children.  Sounds like in Kenya if you can't get into High School, you're not going to get that better life, so I can understand the parents being upset.

The question is, did 50% of those children fail the test because:
1)Those children legitimately failed
2)The teachers didn't do their jobs properly
3)The parents didn't pay enough in bribe money.
