I've been wanting to pickup a water filter for camping and for my BOB. All the reviews I read have both in a dead heat as far which is better. The PuR pumps faster but can not be cleaned or maintained as well as the MSR miniworks. I am leaning towards the MSR but would like to hear from people that have used BOTH filters before I buy. I've got a PUR and it seems to work fine on river water. I scoop water into a bucket and let it sit for a while to let the sediment settle to the bottom hopefully extending the life of the filter.
