went to the DMV yesterday to fill out the paperwork to get veterans plates for my new xterra. i noticed i could have em personalized for an extra 25$ and thought what the hell...maybe i can get something interesting put on my plate. well the choices i was making turned out to be all already taken. AR15 was taken, as was M16 ,recon, army,grnt,usa1,and many others. i decided id try one more time and if that wasnt available id just get a standart vet plate. i lucked out and im going to have M16A2 as my plate.was just wondering if im the only idiot with a gun reference license plate running around.

Currently driving with "308N223" in the PRK.  First day the plates were on I was sitting at a stoplight in town when I heard the guy in back of me blow the horn.  Turned out to be CHP laughing and giving a thumbs-up.  No, he did not pull me over.

Should have gone to the BRC.  They gave one away to each person in the registration tent.

Btw, my license plate is an NRA plate.  M16-223
My next one for my 2nd vehicle will be my next NFA weapon too. [:D]

Have seen several plates in Arizona but what really caught my eye was a license plate frame that said " Too close for missiles... switching to guns"

I have to get ND plates for my truck.  I was on the state website looking for what is available.  I thought for sure I could get 556X45.   No such luck.  AR15FAN was available though. Still thinking about options.

They won't issue anything offensive.  "In today's climate any gun related plate will not be issued"

There is a guy here in town and the plate on his blue 911 is "GUNRUNR" and the name of his '45 Wellcraft is "Gun Runner 1". Two guesses as to what he does for cash.

I always thought it would be fun to get a personalized plate with random numbers and letters just to tell everyone that I have a personalized plate.  If it wasn't for the extra cost, I would.

Mine are on the way, will post a pic when they come  in...  1911A1  ...

Not a flame, but it always strikes me as strange to see vet plates on a jap truck.  Maybe it's just because I just watched Pearl Harbor again...lol

Also not gun related but in NW Kansas I saw TY1ON. Not exactly what I would want on a plate if invovled in an accedent. [:D]

I had a "semi" custom plate on my '70 Mustang when I lived in Nebr.  48(county designation no.)- C351. And people were always asking me what size engine I had. [:D]
