Heat the side that's too long, so it will shrink...

You cut your piece big enough so you have enough to trim off and get a straight, square end product. The material develops internal stresses in the rolling mill and when you cut it free from the larger slab the stresses can relax and the part will deform. Anything you do to it now will only re stress it and leave you with a weaker more difficult to manage end product. . |
