i thought guns were banned in NYC?

I am speechless, I can't believe this is the same state of NY that I live in, that is great to hear about especially in one of the five boroughs! I didn't know that it was legal to carry around any long guns in public for any reason, especially on an armed patrol. I am assuming the weapons to be loaded otherwise they are just like bats and clubs only heavier. They must have some good connections in the gov't to carry loaded weapons on partol. I got nailed just for having an unloaded rifle in my trunk. More power to the people, as it should be. If the police allow this then it will definately set a precedent for future patrols in other NY neighborhoods, and perhaps even NYC will issue CCW's to the average law abiding citizen and not just the rich and powerfull. It's about time people understood that thier personal safety is solely thier resposibility and not a function of the government. This is exactly how it needs to be, I guarantee the crime rate in that section of Brooklyn will decrease dramatically once the patrols begin.

This cannot possibly be true.  We al know because others have stated so here, that Jews are totally opposed to prvate firearms ownership or usage in any fashion.  People have posted it on these pages so it must be true?  This article is obviously a forgery of some sort. [;D]
