I have a Glock 17, and I love it.

I'm looking at getting a smaller Glock 9mm for CC this week, and I'm torn between these too.

The price difference is almost negligible, I can get the Glock 19 for $489 or the Glock 26 for $470.

What sayeth the hive?

Glock 19. Its really not that much bigger than the 26 and it holds 5 more rounds.

Glock 26.  The 19 is plenty concealable, but the 26 is even more so.  Also, you already have a 17, so you already have a "comfort" shooter for the range.  If you didn't already have a 17, I'd say go for the 19.

AV1611 out.....

19 all the way.

It really isn't any easier to conceal a 19 than it is a 26, but the 19 shoots WAY better, etc.

5 more rounds. Full size grip. Longer sight radius.

I've seen too many people in tactical pistol classes pinch the crap out of their hands doing quick reloads with the 26.

The 26 is a good BUG, but not a great main fighting pistol.

19 if you can conceal it that way, 26 if you can't.  i have both and carry them differently depending on what i'm wearing.

The 26 is MUCH more comfortable for sitting in a chair all day to me.  I carried  a 23 for 2 years and don't miss it at all for comfort.

I still own a 19 and a 23 as well as a 27 but the 19 and 23 sit in the safe unless I feel like shooting a match.

I don't see how anyone fits a 19 without significant printing.  Maybe some folks are ok with that.  For me, 26.

Yep.

Between the 19 and the 26, about 90% of the time I've got the 19 on. That other 10% is worth it in my opinion to have the 26 because it allows me to carry 11 rounds of 9mm +P Gold Dot ammo versus having to rely on my P3AT in .380.

I use a scherer mag extension so that my pinky finger has a rest on the grip Vs curling it underneath the grip. The scherer (sp?) still keeps the mag cap the same and gives me the grip I need without making the grip as long as a G19 profile because the extension is angled in such a way that keeps its profile slim and just barely enough more grip and nothing else. Its hard to describe but it works.

A good holster, belt and a loose shirt go a LONG way. If you can't conceal a 19, you're doin it wrong.

What kind of holster do you use?

What is your daily attire?

The 19. The 26 is just not small enough for the trade-off. You could get both of course.

i have both

bottom line the 26 conceals easier but the 19 is easier to learn how to shoot. So its really personal  perf

I chose based on where i'm going and/or my mood and/or the shirt i am wearing (not because it matches but the 19 prints more)

FWIW i don't like extensions for the 26 as it defeats the purpose and will acty as a cruch if you use it at the range.

oh and i generally carry the 26 more but I live in anti gun south east PA

I say 19.  i personally Don't like the feel of the 26.  And for me the 19 is easy to conceal.

I carry my 19 in a holster and my 26 is on my ankle every day of the week for five years.
