Lucky she's still alive. I'm guessing it was a 20 amp circuit. More than enough to send her to doggy heaven. She must have gotten free from it fairly quick.

Yep.
We had a kitten who liked to chew anything snake-like. She lost a fight with a Christmas tree light cord. (Not dead, but stopped breathing for a while.) |

Check for the burns, but the electric shock could also cause a severe muscle contraction that could result in strained/torn muscles, tendons, etc, etc. Could also break a bone. I'd call your vet, at least.

My buddys rottweiler did that with an extension cord and it burned a hole through his tongue about the size of a quarter.

My dog decided to lick a light switch I had removed to do some painting. Guess the kids had food on their hands or something when they touched it.
He was fine but, he stays away from all plugs and light switches now. |

Same shit they just don't understand so well so it's more traumatizing at first. When i was a kid dogs learned to say away from electric fence on the farm pretty quick though.

I think what kills humans is that it goes from your left arm through your heart and down your leg to reach ground.
In a dog, it might go from the mouth down a front leg and not go through the heart. |
