I have found religious or non-religious people to be as equally likely to be honest or dishonest (although that may not be the same thing as moral). I do steer away from any ad, like in the phone book, that has the "Jesus Fish" in the ad based on a couple of bad experiences. Why is someone putting that in an ad anyway?
The catholic priest issue is a little different. The priesthood used to be a highly respected position in the community and celibacy was more acceptable as a lifestyle. As the priesthood became a less desireable career/lifestyle I think there was a tendency for men who were less emotionally mature to get into the priesthood as a way to dodge dealing with whatever their issues regarding sexuality were. Of course I am also sure that this crap has been going on for centuries, but the catholic church doesn't have the muscle to cover this stuff up anymore, but I think there are more dipsticks getting into the priesthood now than 40 years ago. |

As stated before, and I am what you might call a fundamentalist Christian, I do not think that religious people have the corner on morality. I have met plenty of moral agnostics and athiests, several of whom are my best friends, I would also consider many of the non-believers on this board as moral. That said I will add that more religious people I have met are moral that not, however the people who have burned me the worst in my life have all been "Christians" (and when I say Christian I mean people who claim to know Christ). I am also a Libertarian, anyone want to take a shot at that, I'm ready!

The problem with voting for Marklar is that even the bad Marklars are Marklars. Just to make sure I'm not misinterpreted... If you vote Marklar, then Marklar may accidentally be voted in as Marklar. So, you may vote Marklar but may instead be voting for Marklar.
Remember... ALL Marklars are Marklars. Including those not from Marklar. |

I didn't want to discern between specific faiths (ie. Who is more moral Jews or Christians, etc.) So I used the last two options for people who just couldn't give a damn to entertain themselves. I try and bring something for everyone. |

Secular, Atheists, Agnostics - Means you either aren't sure or just don't believe in God. You may believe in a God "concept" but that is about it. Moderates Of Any Faith - You believe in God/and or a Religion but not completely/literally. Kinda like God Lite. Orthodox or Fundamentalists - You accept the literal teaching of your faith as fact. Damn Dirty Apes - You have yet to evolve and don't understand concepts like morality. You also piss off Chuck Heston with your nets and crap. Marklars - You are a die hard South Park fan. |
