Sounds like a bad joke, but an Italian, Honduran, El Salvadoran, Haitian, and Jamaican walk into a bar.....

This week I had to go to Queens for work, worked with an Italian, Honduran, El Salvadoran, Haitian, and a Jamaican......all immigrants. They all hate Obama, kept pointing out that they came here for all the reasons Obama is ashamed of who we are.. The Honduran kept talking about how much he loved Reagan and we need another Ronald Reagan in the White House.  The Italian married a woman from Venezuela and he went there for a couple of weeks, told us all about how horrible it is there, crime, poverty, and violence is rampant.

It's good to see not all immigrants think we're a bunch of racist violent bastards.. They also thought it hilarious that with all the violence and genocide and war and poverty and slave trade going on around the world that the White House can only point to "LEO questioning an immigrants status" as an example of human rights abuses in the US in their report to the UN. They felt the Democrats have no sense of reality and if they want to see human rights abuses they can move to their countries (except the Italian, but his experiences in Venezuela will suffice).

I'm hoping this is an indication that the Dems don't have the immigrant vote as tied up as they think they do. These guys are all citizens now, and they're not voting for him in 2012.

I have never met a LEGAL mexican  immigrant who believes in liberalism.  I have met plenty and they all hate Obama.

Yup. As, ahem, "bad" and "evil" the United States is purported to be, people are still beating down the doors to get in. Risking their lives to do so, in many cases. There is no mass exodus leaving.

This immigrant can't stand that "other" immigrant.

The immigrants (all legal) that I've worked with in the NYC-NJ-CT triangle are extremely conservative politically. They left socialist experiments, and DON'T want to see it happen here.

I married into a family from Nicaragua (and my wife's father came from Cuba) and lived with them for a couple of years in LA. I was surprised to find most Hispanics are conservative and tend to follow traditional Catholic beliefs and values. I met my wife when I was 23 and we still weren't allowed to be alone together.........

I think they follow the Democrats because that's what they're told to do by the activists who help them when they get here, they don't know any better. Most are pro-Life, don't believe in divorce, and want to work. And from talking to many of them found they seem to think the Dems feel the same way and The Repubs are pro-choice and don't have any morals. I tried to straighten them out, but the truth is most don't care....

My wife's family is extremely conservative and devout Republicans, they hate La Raza and think they're doing the hispanic community a huge disservice.
