Well,
looks like the fine po-po where doing their "job", and pushing kids to get electrocuited!

Thank God johnny Cochran is around to get some justice for this family! [BD]

too bad the taxpayers of Chicago will have to pay for the JBT's tatics.

The fear of those that are willing to speak up must be increditable!  I bet they moved out of the city, afraid of "police" justice.
How dare they speak up agaist their protectors.

Police say Billy "Kash" Smith, 17, was running from officers and tripped on the third rail of a CTA L track when he was electrocuted Monday morning near the Cicero stop on the Green Line.

But that's not how it happened, said attorney Johnnie Cochran, who filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the city of Chicago, saying two witnesses saw a police officer push Smith onto the electrified third rail.

Cochran's law partner, James Montgomery, said authorities should consider a murder charge.

"Of course," Montgomery said. "If you push somebody to his death, that's murder."

Cochran gained a national reputation for his defense of O.J. Simpson.

The last police brutality suit Cochran and Montgomery filed against the city, in the death of Latanya Haggerty, resulted in an $18 million settlement from the city.

Chicago Police Department spokesman Pat Camden said he would not comment on a pending lawsuit.

What police said after the incident Monday was that officers saw Smith involved in several hand-to-hand drug sales.

They said then that officers chased Smith until he ran onto a waiting train at the station, then ran off the train onto the tracks and fell on the third rail while the officers were 170 feet behind him. CTA officials gave a similar account.

Montgomery said two witnesses--one standing on the platform at the time and one standing nearby--contacted Smith's mother and contradicted the official accounts.

There are a lot of police for you to get to know in Chicago. Never know what they are capable of.  Be interesting to see what happens to the witnesses.

And I suppose you believe everything Johnny Cochran says???

Which,   the "victum"'s family or the witnesses.  It's a lifestyle with many of them, trying to work the system & often some creep like Cochran happy to help sponge for self promo (& a cut).

If Johnny says it is true it must be.
I mean you don't really believe O.J. was guilty do you?

Johhny is a fine honest man who would never lie.

Johnny is also part of the reparations litigation recently introduced to repair the damage done to all our "brothers" by pepole who
enslaved their ancestors a hundred years ago.

Another piece of shit who makes millions by doing nothing more than LYING for a living!!!!!!

Not every cop is honest.  However most are.  And I can't believe you'd ever find a group of them stupid enough to push a suspect to his death with witnesses standing there watching.

Lawyers are good at this stuff.  Filing lawsuits that should never be won and hoping for a settlement by the defendants just to avoid a costly court battle.  And, many people they get on juries now go ga-ga over the plaintiffs and award ridiculous judgments.  It seems that some juries give huge multimillion dollar awards to people just because they can and to "get even" with the system even if it is for somebody else.

Suspects and their families never lie.  I'm a cop, and I always believe everything they tell me.  I mean, a criminal will only tell the truth.  They are honest upstanding citizens.

It's funny how people get angry when gun owners are lumped together as a group and called right wing lunatics that are a danger to society.  They scream about how the vast majority of gun owners are great citizens and would never harm anyone.  Then, the same people turn around and make sweeping generalities about other groups such as cops.

Sheez, give me a break.  For those cop haters our there, get to know one.  You'll find out he's probably be a normal everyday kind of person just like yourself.  Concerned about our second amendment freedoms.  Struggling to pay his bills.  A wife to go home to.  Kids to care for.  A lawn to mow.  A car that needs repairs.  Etc.  Etc.  (male gender used for simplicity, lots of great female cops too)

Lump all cops into a group and you're no better than Diane Feinstein, Sarah Brady, or any of the other anti-gun people.  Someone that uses anecdotes and false generalities to foster dislike of someone or something.

You know C-Rock, its guys like YOU that have made me avoid posting here lately.  I am sick and tired of this JBT bullshit.  You guys really have no clue, do you?  Just what you see in the movies and on NYPD Blue.  And the stuff you read here posted by jerkoff's like yourself, which is pure bullshit.

Heres a story that is DEFINITELY worth reading, some might even think its kind of funny:

About four years ago, I was assigned to NYPD Transit Police in Bed-Sty/East New York (NOT a very nice place at all).  One day a cop I work with called for backup at the next train station (Sutter Ave on the L) down the line from me.  I could hear the gunfire not only over the radio, but because I was only about 5 blocks away.  He was being shot at by 2 Male Black perps, both armed with guns and was behind cover returning fire.  He is a Transit Police Old-timer, with 15 years on the job, all spent in transit.  He is one of those guys that refused to get rid of his .38 for a 9mm.  He always bragged about how great and reliable the .38's were, and how the dept should never have gone to 9mm.

Anyway I exit my train station, commandeer a civilians auto, and race the 5 blocks to the scene.  The perps have just fled the scene, BOTH discarding their handguns as they ran.  We saw TWO handguns laying on the floor.  The perps split up and me and the old-timer both stick together and chase after one of the guys.  We chase him for 2 blocks, and are catching up to him, when he rounds the corner of a building (heading away from us), and we hear another BOOM!

"Shit!!!! He has another Gun!!!!"  We dive for cover, but it seems he only fired the one shot at us.  We figured he was waiting for us to turn the corner so he could blast us, so we crossed the street, took cover behind a car, and looked around the corner (safely from across 5 lanes of traffic).  The guy is around the corner all right, but he's laying on his side in the mud, and he's not moving.

Backup starts to arrive from all over the place (only about a minute or two has passed since this guy even called for backup), and we approach the guy, guns drawn and pointed at the perp on the floor.  We keep getting closer and closer, but the guy isnt moving, and his gun is still in his hand.  Eventually, we get in and kick the gun out of his hand, but he is still not moving.  As a matter of fact, his (close)shaven head (the side facing up to the sky) has what appears to be a huge Zit or growth or something sticking out towards the sky, but the skin hasnt even been broken.

We roll the guy over to handcuff him.  Its then we notice the hole in the side of his head that was facing the ground, and the brain matter/blood falling out of above mentioned hole in the perps head.  EMS is already at the scene and pronounces him DOA.  It seems when the dumb shit ran around the corner(arms pumping), he slipped in the mud and put a round into his right temple.  The round never came out the other side, it was inside his head.  The gun was a Kahr K9 9mm, just like my own off duty gun.

Of course, there are a million chiefs and investigative units on the scene (ie. homicide, robbery squad, transit detectives, precinct detectives, iab, you name them, they were there).  A total of SEVEN handguns were recovered between the two perps (the other perp was caught a couple of blocks away w/ FOUR guns still on him in a bag).  It seems that they had just robbed another local piece of shit who was a drug dealer.  They each came into the game with two guns apiece, then took three guns from the safe of the drug dealer that they robbed.

Anyway, within the hour there are TV crews everywhere, and of course dozens of spectators behind the Police barriers and the TV crews are "interviewing" members of the crowd when one of them told a reporter "I seen da whole thing!!!  I seen da Po-lice cap him right in the head".  Where was this "eyewitness" an hour ago when this all went down?

Our guns get taken away by IAB or the Investigating Chief to have the rounds counted and guns tested.  To make a long story short, my gun hadnt been fired and still has all 16 rounds in the gun, while my buddys .38 had six spent casings in the cylinder.  He was chasing the perp with an empty gun; he forgot to reload, whatever the case, its a good thing that perp slipped in the mud or one of us could have been dead when we turned that corner.  Its also a good thing that it was a 9mm bullet in that perps head (and my gun hadnt been fired). The only officer who fired a round fired his .38 at the perp.  Not much of a lawsuit there.

Anyway, the point of the story (I know it was a LONG story) is that these witnesses arent always the most trustworthy and honest people.  A lot of people (especially the liberal news media) would much rather belive the story of some skell off the street than take the word of a Police Officer.  It sells papers.  The second point is that sometimes perps have MORE THAN ONE GUN!! Continue to search your perps even AFTER you find a weapon!!!  Lastly, GET RID OF THAT OLD REVOLVER!!!!!  You can change a magazine while running, but try loading a revolver while running!!!  If you DO carry a revolver, COUNT YOUR ROUNDS!!!!!

Stay Safe,

Steven

Why are you stopping from posting?  Its just words, thats all.  Grow a thicker skin.

I am just posting what I see it seems every week in the newspaper. City getting sued for abuses done by the police. Reports of citizens getting tortured back at the station by detectives.

What's wrong people knowning about those things?

I do know cops, I even have them in my family.   THey hear it from me too, so dont think you are special.

"Montgomery said two witnesses--one standing on the platform at the time and one standing nearby--contacted Smith's mother and contradicted the official accounts."

Paid witnesses and crooked lawyers are a big problem in the cities.  The tip-off is the witnesses went to the "victims" mother. If you witness a crime you usually call the police and report it but most often witness's never come forward because they don't want to get involved.

Try to use a little common sense.  Cops chasing a suspect aren't going to go anywhere near a third rail and chance getting electrocuted.

I learned long ago "don't believe anything you read and only half what you see!"

Hunduh,

I'm ever so glad we have this "War on Some Drugs" so that you you and your partner can be out there doing such good work everyday keeping the punks in line who, if drugs were legal, would not be robbing other dealers or stealing their guns in the first place.

My what a world.

Then do something constructive about it. Don't just bitch to one guy who only gets one vote, just like you.

I can't wait until all drugs are legalized and the criminal gang members all turn into hardworking, contributing members of society, just like the Mafia did after the repeal of Prohibition.

My what a world.

Yes, and are you still advocating terrorism against the United States? Why is it so hard to get you to answer a straight question?

Quoted:
As far as the moral argument that "my country" has been attacked, all I can say is, this isn't "my country" and hasn't been for quite a long time. I pay nearly half my income in taxes and have no functioning representation in "my government". As far as I'm concerned, it was New York, in all its decandent, decaying socialist splendor that was attacked more than anything else. I used to live there and I can tell you--if the whole city gets nuked at some point, the big loss will be to capitalism, not to the gene pool. Personally, I'd rather see them bust up DC where a comeuppance is so richly deserved.
