I keep my cell on vibrate while at work...and I swear I feel it vibrate a few times a day when there is no call/reminder.  Then some times when it does vibrate, I don't even notice it (it's on a utility belt, so that's no suprise).

What I find odd, is that I have the phantom rings.  Anyone else get that?

Yes, quite frequently, and yet I routinely miss actual texts that come in.

I gave up trying to figure out why my phone does/doesn't do things.

It used to work fine, now it doesn't ring sometimes and won't tell me there is a message for a couple of days.I think the record was a week before letting me know of an important voicemail that I missed.

I think its possessed and I hate it. Its evil I tell you.

LOL. Really strange. I was speaking with my priest about that just this evening. He tells me that he gets these phantom vibrations from his cell phone, but maybe it's just his leg muscle/nerve twitching or whatever. Same thing happens to me. I think those with Blackberry's prolly don't experience this phenomenon. The vibration from a BB is like a jackhammer compared to most cell phones!

I keep mine in my cargo pocket at work and get that crap all the time.  Just a sign I am getting old and the nerves are shot.

I get the same thing. Or, sometimes my iPhone actually does vibrate and I have no idea why - no calls, txts, email, updates, etc.

I guess my BB could be vibrating for no reason...I'd like to think it's that, and not me getting old or crazy or both.

Yep, I keep my phone in my pocket and sometimes feel them when it's not there.  I've had this same conversation at work with coworkers who experience the same thing.  Very Weird!!!

When I carried a pager from work I'd get these calls now and then from VietNam.   Two brothers would always bother me, one  LO CELL and the other one TONE ONLY.   Seems like they'd always call at 3am.   Those bastards.

Odd thing is, I still feel the vibration where it would be on my belt in uniform...even if it's in my pocket.  I guess because that's where it stays the most.

Thing is, I'm not sure if the phone is actually vibrating or not...

I used to get those phantom vibrations when I wore my phone(s) on my belt. I have since started carrying my phones in my pockets and they went away eventually. I carry a Droid for personal use and a BB for work. Now sometimes I don't feel the vibrations at all.

Get a Harley.  That will fix your phone vibes.  After a few years, you won't feel shit.

I can hear my crackberry vibe and still can't feel it.

Yep, my Blackberry does it once or twice a day when I have it on vibrate at work. You would think that I would also get phantom rings when it's not on vibrate but, I don't.

I did read somewhere that it could be related to the weather push service when there's a weather alert but, I check the weather and there aren't any alerts.

Had it when I first started using vibrate. That stopped a while ago. Now I miss the actual vibrations of incoming messages because I'm so used to them. Oh well.
