[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Looking for a GSD in TX

I'm looking to get a young'ish GSD in TX. Looked at a lot of breeders, but most don't have dogs that are around a year old (what I'm looking to get). I'd love to get one through one of the GSD rescues, but they all want a fenced yard, and I live on a 500 acre horse farm, so kinda hard to fence in our yard. Anybody know where else I could look?

Check out the GSD Rescue in your area. I've got my application in right now to adopt 2 pups from the Rescue of Central Texas. They seem to be genuinely interested in the dogs.

I'd love to, but as I said in my OP, most if not all require a fenced yard, which is pretty much impossible for me.

Edit: I'm about 1.5 hrs west of Ft Worth, and an hour east of Abilene, right off I20. Wouldn't mind traveling as far as Austin if I have to.
