Around 4K (servicemen and US citizen contractors) times four wounded have died or have been wounded and we have spent roughly a trillion.....Not worth it, not even close to being worth it.
That and the irony is we spent 4 billion to arm the Afghans against the Soviets. How did the .mil/politicians think it was all going to turn out? |

We should have went in there and annihilated every trace of the Taliban! Then, we should have demanded mineral rights as payback for rebuilding their nation. Our politicians did nothing but play stupid with the terrorists, instead of black bagging their leaders first chance we had. |

Old squadron mate of mine flys for state dept over there and it seems that they aren't targets, nor are thesecuirty guys for state dept. My ex-bro in-law works that side and says they get goo intel. Hard to know with him though.

There weren't a bunch of Vietnamese hookers and beer for our war. Kandahar is Burqaville. There aren't any service members bringing home droves of Afghan wives to take them to the big PX. The DOD makes sure to suck any type of fun out of all current wars. |
