Yes, I know there is a sub for knives but I see cool shit posted here in GD by people who aren't in the sub then forget what the title of the thread was and then get bored trying to search through every random knife related thread in GD.

This is what I usually carry for long bike rides:

The rhk attorney came in heavy and raped the guy's cat, spit on his mother, and shit in mr transparent’s bed - all before ever introducing himself. A 5 year can get things done better than that attorney.

That's what I'm thinking. The action on my Kershaw Launch went to shit, but a good cleaning took care of that and got it right back to wrist-snapping. If you can still feel some pressure, it may just be getting bound up by gunk.

So I followed your guys advice and took it apart to clean it. I then realized I have no idea on what to use to clean it. Should I use oil or just wipe it? I've never taken one of my knives apart before lol

For general use any light oil will be better than nothing. Just wipe all the gunk out then lube up the washers and detent track. Less is more when it comes to knives. Too much will just attract more pocket lint.

Just wipe the junk out and apply whatever you use to lube your guns.

Every speed safe failure I've seen, the spring broke in half. I haven't see a weak one. Kershaw will send out new springs if you call them. They don't make them forever though. I have a friend who has a Kershaw rake that he can't get a new spring for.

Jeremy from simple little life on YouTube had a Kershaw break a spring and they wouldn't send him one because of some Canadian law. Someone stateside sent him one just fine though.

So I got the knife back together but it still isn't that strong. Its better than it was but still pretty weak. Time for a new spring?

You didn't crank the pivot screw down too much, did you? That will bind things up quickly. Spring installed correctly? If not, probably a new spring.

¡Feliz cinco de drinko, putos!

My buddy is the country-wide distributor for Stanley tools in Venezuela. This might seem like any regular utility knife but it means something to me. It’s also the best utility knife I’ve owned. Feels great in the hand, double side by side blades, and easy blade storage in the back.
