View Quote I'm too lazy to go grab my Hattin and compare side by side, but I do recall it and other special run models being more polished. And they really aren't that much more. But I honestly don't mind the rough cut liner edges. Adds to the aesthetic for me. I haven't been in the Emerson game as long as others, but mine have all been in good order when I got them. |

The lock stick is my biggest complaint but they wear in quick enough. |

Action is well broken in and smooth. Have to fire with authority, but closing you can walk it down. View Quote I dunno, I like the ti on my F95t. Little extra weight to reassure it is still there. The Hattin and Kwaiken are my go to Emerson’s to protect adverse porcine elements. The lanyard is a Cutlery shoppe thing for the special run. If you put a skull or cross on there it will work. I do like lanyards on my waved knives. Helps indexing. Or just do a new one to your tastes. |

I should do one up to match my Spartan shemagh and practice my aiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiai battle cry. I know I'd said that I liked the kwaiken - I like the hattin more (at first blush) for the same reasons. It's like the kwaiken's big brother. Not sure why you think they'd be good pig stickers, but you do you I guess. The lanyard itself is fine, it's just the way they apparently intend it to be attached that is silly. |

It's lucky number 13(14 if you count the prototype in 1084, but it never got handles) of this knife, so I've got the handles figured out pretty well. The bigger Santoku looking one has the wrong angle on the handle. It's the same profile as that orange handled chopper I made a while back. The more I handle it, the less I like it. I vaguely remember talk about the hump. I see what you mean about the handle angle, though, looks like it would force the wrist into an uncomfortable angle. Everyone needs a garage knife, though. Hell, I need a garage knife LOL.
