Yes, I know there is a sub for knives but I see cool shit posted here in GD by people who aren't in the sub then forget what the title of the thread was and then get bored trying to search through every random knife related thread in GD.

This is what I usually carry for long bike rides:

A waved Spyderco Delica and a Kwaiken by Dynamik Blades aka Smithy

And it’s not really Fiat. SFAIK, it is more GM than Italian.

I know of Opinel, Deejo and the one that makes all the traditional folders, the name escapes me right now.

As a rule I stay away from purchasing any Italian equipment for my plant. It just always seems to suck.

This is how I see it as far as Industrial machinery is concerned.

Japanese = Runs forever, throw it away after 20 years before it becomes a money pit. You probably won't need parts before then.

German = Parts? Why do you need parts? We designed this to never wear out? Silly Americans. Why do you break our machine?

British = Hard fucking no. Never.

Italian = Look how beautiful it is. What? You actually want it to work? No, look how beautiful it is!

US - Hey, me and the boys whipped this thing up over a case of PBR this weekend. It might leak a little oil. Better buy that spill pan option. We have plenty of parts. You're going to need them. We left some out by the way. You guess which ones.

Canadian - It's too damn cold here for us to build equipment but we'll try anyway. We'll fuck it up and ghost you when it doesn't work.

Chinese = Everything bad about all the others but cheap. It might work, might not. Did we mention it's cheap. Hope you never need parts.

Look, if you're going to hang out with our little clique, you need to learn there are certain people that are always wrong, even if you think they are right.

You fashionistas can commiserate together quietly on the side, but don't acknowledge Gingerskanks in public.

ETA: It should go without saying, but some people are always right, even if you don't think they are.
