Critical Incident Briefing - January 9, 2021 - 600 West Van Buren Street Critical Incident Briefing: An officer-involved shooting occurred on January 9, 2021, at approximately 3:15 p.m. in the area of 7th Avenue and Van Buren Street. Officers responded to 911 calls that reported a man fighting with a woman at a hotel in the area 7th Avenue and Van Buren Street. The callers also reported that a man was shooting at people while holding a baby. Officers arrived within a minute of the 911 calls and saw the suspect armed and shooting a gun while holding the baby. Officers told the suspect to drop the gun and he refused. An officer armed with his city issued rifle shot at the suspect when he saw the suspect point the gun at the baby and others. The suspect was injured, and officers immediately ran to the baby and the driver of the white vehicle to move them to safety. After the shooting, Phoenix Fire personnel responded and transported the suspect to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. He has been identified as 37-year-old Paul Bolden. Officers also learned that the woman, who Bolden was fighting, was his girlfriend and the baby was his son. The baby was not injured during this incident. The gun which was used by Bolden was also located and several businesses were damaged by Bolden’s gunfire. There were no injuries to officers or any serious injuries to community members. The officer involved in this shooting is assigned to the Mountain View Precinct and has been with the department for almost four years. |

Wow, an ass puckering event for those officers, and the mother too. Great outcome, kind of makes you a bit teary eyed when you hear the officer comforting the baby.
Although, according to the marxists in power, social workers could have done that better. |

Do we make it through first page without some hero armchairing? Or child shitposting? Staytuned to find out

Black Criminal gets killed while doing criminal things. Perfect excuse for BLM to burn Phoenix to the ground.

The Officer probably made the shot of his life. AND made the move to get in there and get the kid.

Thanks for posting Bama, that was pretty wild. What a major asshole but at least he is now a dead asshole.
Good shot by the cop, can only imagine the adrenaline dump he was experiencing as he took that shot. Now, can we discuss the Sgt's name Mercedes Fortune? Come on, thats a perfect stripper or porn name. |

What was he doing with his scope, adjusting the magnification?

Did the first cop who had his pistol out have some little stubby can on it?

Officer cranking up the magnification before taking the shot. Props to him for being confident and trained well enough to know where that round was going.

Its still crazy to me to see the difference when suspects get shot with a pistol caliber vs a rifle caliber.
I've seen a lot of vids of suspects shrugging off 2-3 or more 9mm rounds center mass but never seen one shrug off a rifle round center mass. Temporary wound cavities don't mess around |
|
Damn.
"No, fuck it, get the kid" cop deserves a medal, especially after he was the one who showed up after the party was started, got the rifle into play first and ended the situation |

AR15 discharged. Stopping at a Kum and Go at 4am to catch an ass crack of dawn flight home always makes me think I'm going to be an unwilling extra in Sicario. Kharn |
