Crossposting my post from the election night thread:
I am afraid the simplest explanation for the massive, disproportionate, obviously-for-show buildup up forces is a psyop to convince the American public that the wing/conservatives are not only a threat, they are such a threat as to merit this dramatic response, thus setting the stage for later extreme legislative measures which otherwise would have been challenged by the moderates as draconian and unnecessary. |

Exactly! If you live in Portlandistan, your line in the sand is your front door. If you have solid friends or neighbors in the area connect with them. If you live in Wyoming, it's the state border. Other places it will be neighborhood, town, or county depending on the size of your like minded community. I still own some land down in Colorado. It's in a patriot enclave. The neighbors have dropped trees over the roads to keep the zombies out. There's nowhere for outsiders to park or gather. They have dances and events at a community hall. They do business with each other if at all possible before hiring from outside. The teachers, and other public servants all live in the area. Life is largely untouched by the outside. Protests/rallies may have some value, but positively themed events will bring in more and are better at building community. I'm thinking about hosting some barbie jeep racing this summer.
