While a 16" saw seems pretty maneuverable, I'm concerned that it might be sacrificing too much reach.

The small 16" Stihl.

I got a bigger one, but that one does everything, and is very lw.

Great chainsaw.

This is a great tool to have.

I'm a little hesitant to trust my life on a battery.  Am I being irrational?

My little Stihl that will cut 90% of shit is 8.5lbs

I'm liking this option, but I'm not sure such a small blade is going to stop a determined attacker.

I think that the 47" model might have better stopping power.

A bar that size you'll need a husky 395xp or a stihl 660

Chainsaws would suck for H/D.

Just add 20lbs of stuff to your AR and call it good.

OP, for inside the house you want propane or electric.  If you already have battery operated tools you're happy w/, just go w/ that line of battery chainsaw, that way you'll always have charged batteries on hand.  Just grab a fresh one from the charger and that should be good for a brace of burglars.

Now a propane one, that would be pretty sweet.  The issue is always the oil leaking all over the place.

Frankly, I’d be more hesitant about “trust[ing] my life” on being able to pull start a chainsaw in-time to stop a threat.

ZOMBIES!

Prime 10x, set choke, depress safety and squeeze throttle, pull 2X, adjust choke.....THEN

brains, brains, I should have used my brains
