Riding on the groundswell of excitement the new female Jane Bond character has produced, movie executives have announced the next James Bond actor.
Movie Exec VP Josh Jacobs was quoted in a press release as saying, "We must address the entire movie-going demographic and we hope to add those whom perhaps may not normally go see a Bond film."  Attached FileETA: Jesus, many of you folks are some gullible individuals! Note I NEVER mentioned the actor's name? Note the pic shows some hood rat that has now been arrested? Note I NEVER mentioned the movie studio's name? At least some of y'all figured it out. The rest of you didn't even bother to read the thread, it seems.

Now that Bond is black, they'll remove any character flaws in order to avoid being racist. So Bond will go from a complex character to a Mary Sue. This is how Hollywood ruins IPs. Step 1: Make character diverse. Step 2: Make character Mary Sue. Step 3: With no plot, only propaganda remains. I imagine pitch meetings being like a Monty Python skit.
"Alright, in Scene One Black Bond is attacked by a bunch of henchmen." "So he loses and barely escapes right? To set up the main character conflict?" "No, he's Black Bond, so he wins easily. Now in Scene Two we introduce the romantic lead." "Is she a femme fatale? A Russian spy? Or maybe she's just from another world and their love is tragic and doomed." "No. She falls in love with Black Bond instantly and is perfectly loyal. Now in Scene Three Bond must deal with a computer virus." "And he cannot solve it alone, right? So he needs to show growth as a character by realizing his limitations and relying on his team?" 'No. Black Bond is also good with computers. He just solves it." "Just solves it? But don't we have 87 movies showing Bond isn't good with technical stuff? How he's always fighting with Q? Do you at least explain how he got good with computers?" "He's Black Bond, he just is. Now, onto Scene Four. . . ." |

next bond doesn't need to be black. they've introduced enough black replacement characters in this franchise, bond doesn't need to be another. they are like 3% of the UK population, they are getting plenty representation in the films as it is. elba has ONE fucking acting method he can play and it gets old. make another black spy movie if that is what people want, but bond is a scottish white man. just leave it.
