I'm sitting here trying to decide... I'm buying no matter what. But just buy BTC first and sit, or buy altcoins that have corrected now? Hmmm.

Litecoin below $200, ETH about to dip below $1,000. Bitcoin flirted with $10,000 territory.

Meh, that's the name of the game.

I'm so far ahead at this point if it crashes another 50% I still made money.

If you can't stomach the swings don't get in the market!

I'm converting a gaming computer to mining with nice hash. it was making around $12 a day but has went way down. this shit will tear my nerves up. I normally avoid anything risky. I already have the equipment so its not really losing me anything, but it sure feels like it is.

Do you have cash sitting in Coinbase to trade on, or still awaiting transfer?

I'm thinking this crash is result of Wall Street banks thatve pumped a shit ton of capital into crypto are now extracting to shake the market hoping to acquire more coins at lows.

If so, the bottom will be a very sharp turn back into massive buying

I've been making buys when the price drops using a visa card, which gets paid in full every month. Mainly because it is faster than waiting for bank transfers.

There's talks from Korean leaders about banning crypto currency trading. It's causing a sell off, from the few articles I found.

This.

Like it or loathe it, Bitcoin is essentially a virtual trinket.

It is not really that different to the fantasy games where players are paying $$$ from some virtual magic sword from an RPG.

It has no material form and no nation or Govt is going to go to war for it if Bitcoin currency slumps or is somehow stolen.  The value is perceived and based on what is popular at the time.

I don't doubt that crypto-currencies are likely to play a greater and greater role in our global economy, but the conditions are not right yet.

When Bitcoin values went high all that happened was several other virtual trinket currencies suddenly appears as tidy speculator made assumptions on the markets.  The problems that there is no limit on the markets - anew internet trinket can be invented any time and unlike national currencies which are limited by the number of countries in the world, the number of virtual trinkets is limitless which does not provide a stable market base for trading.

The scepticism is deserved and quite valid.

The coin isn't the scam anymore than any other central bank currency. It's the businesses that surround it that are the scams.

Your statement is nonsensical. As a trader, you should be attuned to what people are offering for the items you hold.

What is "low" or "high"? Those are some price point that someone else (or a bot) decided to buy or sell.

Bitcoin is over bought. Has been for over a month. $15+ transactions kills its utility. A heavy cycle down is pretty likely IMO. I sold all my BTC in the last month. I expect all the alts will get drug down with it.

If only I could figure out the fundamentals of what causes price changes in bitcoin I would be a rich man.

Does anyone have any insight? I mean it can’t be because one fool wants to buy something and another fool wants to sell that thing, right?

Don’t waste your breath. He thinks “could care less” makes sense as well.

A speculator who thinks he can ignore the actual price.

I was at work and some guys heavily invested in BC were losing their minds because it dropped to $6.56 per bitcoin

Make of that what you will
