I can't believe he pitted him that close to that other vehicle. Damn.
|
|
|
He was stopped, completely blocked in, had a half dozen guns pointed at him, fucked ten ways to Sunday, and they still had to taser him, and drag him out. I'm going to guess he's a slow learner.

They should have just deployed a bunch of cardboard cutouts that looked like a crowd of people.
The mustang would crash into it and the chase would be over. |
|
Backstory?
That seemed a little agro for your just driving a stolen vehicle. |
|
|
Glad they retrieved the citizen's property in undamaged condition for him.
CHP would have shot that guy about 50 times after the PITT and subsequent pin when he was still trying to drive. |
|
|
Weird they pitted the car in that much traffic with a vehicle just in front of it.

That Jeep driver needs to buy a Lotto ticket, he is living right! |

Looks like he was trying to hide in the backseat. Yeah, just close your eyes and they can't see you. |

I always wonder if the cop holding on to the perp feels the Tazor when the perp gets lit up.

Weird they pitted the car in that much traffic with a vehicle just in front of it. View Quote The PIT was times to coincide with the arrival of other officers from the opposite direction. The vehicle in front would necessarily be clear, as a PIT doesn't increase a vehicle's forward speed. Beyond that, performing the PIT was a matter of timing and weighing its risk against the risk allowing the violator to continue his escapade. |

Hopefully the driver was not roughed up off camera after they got him out.

It may not increase a vehicles speed but it damn sure don't slow it down. They were closing fast on that other vehicle. 1 second later and that jeep would have had an ass full of Mustang. |

A lady I know from church lost her grand daughter recently to a man who was fleeing police in a high speed pursuit and head on'd her vehicle killing her. Tragic accident that was senseless all because of poor decision making.

Stupid asshole. Good bust.

All true, I'm sure. But you could clearly see the citizen in the Jeep slowing down - like we're told to do: "Slow down, move right." Dude was damn lucky he didn't get tangled up in that. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Every PIT I've done or suffered slowed things pretty quickly relative to the original direction of travel. I'm glad Jeep guy got away unscathed, though. |

Damn did you see that last part? That officer collapsed the ASP with his bare hands. Awesome

He could of been in a GT40, Lamborghini or Ferrari. The radio is still faster.

At around the 26 to 31 second mark, was that an attempted spike deployment? One of the worst ever
