After going public it took off today and stabilized at about $70 which makes it worth about 13 Billion right now. Trump's stake is worth close to 6 billion at that price.
Somehow I don't think Trump gives a shit about his itsy-bitsy $465M fine.... https://www.axios.com/2024/03/26/stock-trump-truth-social |

Opened up at 40 now at 75?
I consider it a campaign donation I can get money back out of |

Last time, I sent him cash money and got Beer mugs and a goofy hat to show for it. I’m going to put in a buy order @60. If I lose it all, it was a donation. I’ve been saying for decades, that we need a Media outlet like this, so it’s time to step up. |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: The media is already calling it a meme stock. I think most people are investing in Trump, not the company. So it’s not exactly the same as a meme stock (in my mind) which is just a pump and dump. In this case, people are just donating to Trump. |

I went ahead and bought 20 shares. I figure it's like a donation, and if it drops I'll barely notice the loss. Otherwise, I make a donation and keep my value at the same time, so good deal.

Call my cynical, but I don't view this all that different than Hunter Biden "art". Nobody gives 2 shits about yet another social media start-up.

Will be interesting to see if anyone holds for 6 months so Trump can cash out.

all he does is win…… except if they cheat the game and get away with it

View Quote lol it would be hilarious if all the big players start liquidating in anticipation of him selling his shares and the price going down, creating downward momentum, and by the time he starts selling it's in the toilet. He can only sell at the price others are willing to buy. Who will want to pay these prices in September who hasn't already bought in? And who wants to own stock that the main guy behind the brand isn't interested in holding? I did see that if he gets enough loyalists on the board they can change the rules so he can sell a little bit before 6 months, but I think it's like 1% of his holdings per quarter or something like that. |

I bet the Liberals and never Trumpers heads are exploding right about now.

What many people didn’t realize was that you didn’t have to buy it today.
DWAS was as low as $39 or so ithis month.. Automatically converted 1 for 1 this morning from DWAS to DJT. So you could have bought this ahead of time if you did your research. The day DWAC came out at $10.00 two years ago it was on CNBC all day. Also DJT was his stock in the 90’s up to the 2004 casino bankruptcy. Quoted: It would be a real FU if they pumped it up to double by then. I tried to buy at the initial $40 but it wasn't listed last night. I don't actually hate Trump so much that I'm hoping for that. As to who would pay this price in September - people trying to purchase Trump's influence and otherwise general supporters, would be who. This company has little value that makes no revenue, and is trying to penetrate a satisfied market with a mission statement that is no longer differntiating or relevant. Which is to say, it started when Twitter was just like all of them, as a leftist meddlesome media outlet in a field of nothing but leftist medllesome media outlets. now that Musk has Twitter / X; that mission statement and differentiation of Truth Social is no longer relevant. I'm half wondering if Musk saw all this playing out just like this, and that was a bonus FU for him taking over Twitter / X; because him doing so completely fucked Truth Social's entire mission statement. I see now why Trump sat on his ass for 3 years before IPO'ing it - with the timing being kind of obvious now. It's only face-value is it will be Trumps exclusive venue for midnight CONFEFFE postings - that's it. That value alone is next to nothing, becuase his postings will be reposted on X within milli-seconds, so there's no reason for anyone to waste their time getting an account there. The only other value is basically Hunter Biden "Art". Which is a value, but of course you need a wink-wink conversation and 6-7 figures of investment for that to actually be worth anything other than disdain sucker status. I hope for Trumps sake (and all our sake), that no foreign money is going into this IPO premium value sell off - that's not going to be a good look if there's $50MM of Russian money that can be traced into that purchase. Because that WILL be fuel in the inevitable upcoming witch-hunts. |
