That APC with the number 514 on it, what does that sign on top of it say?
It starts with BE then a double H and so on? |
|
I wonder how much of that stuff is usable, and second - when the war is over, will demilled ex Soviet vehicles flood the market? I'd like a BMP for boonie hopping...

How long before Russian and US gear, sent over to help, find its way back via grey/black markets?

Nice barn finds.

Quoted: That APC with the number 514 on it, what does that sign on top of it say? It starts with BE then a double H and so on? View Quote Polite residents of Donetsk. A funnier one is two down from that, written in reddish brown paint. An old Russian saying, which basically translates to “whether you like it or not, bear it, my beauty”. Very common saying for decades. The original says sleep instead of bear it, and it comes from a dirty rhyme, in which a dude is fucking a dead chick. |

I have no idea what Donkers means in Russian. In Dutch it means darkness, and it is also British slang for dicks. Polite dicks? ETA: Answered above as residents of Donetsk. Donetsk in Russian is ??????. |

There are a lot more pictures than this coming out.
One is an area with 14 newer model T72b3 tanks all recently parked and abandoned in the woods. |

These will form the basis for a new Ukrainian armored division. Or two. 457 tanks is a lot. Now I feel bad for spending my money on a small Swiss AFV when I could have gotten something more modern from an actual battlefield. |

It would be awesome if they throw a bunch of that stuff on the surplus market after the ceasefire next year. I'll take a BMP!

Yet more great news...
...this means we can stop giving any more million billions to ukraine! |

That shit looks more like it's been abandoned and left there for years...

Quoted: Yet more great news... ...this means we can stop giving any more million billions to ukraine! View Quote Wrong. We still need to send aid. The aid is what has enabled them to get to this point. None of these weapons captured replace the Himars, Harms, Krab, Pzh2000, or other weapons they desperately need. These Will outfit another dozen armored brigades, however, which means Russia, by fleeing, just signed over Ukraine to its rightful masters. The people. |

Psshh… that’s nothing. You should see what the US left for the Taliban

Considering the battlefield in Ukraine, it would seem that those captured vehicles are somewhat useless. If I was Ukrainian or Russian, I would not want any part in being in any of those vehicles. Rolling death traps with the current armament of javelins, etc. If I was a Russian conscript, I don’t think I would put up much of a fight when the Ukrainians came the “liberate” those vehicles.

I wonder how many 10mm sockets are scattered around those areas?

It's part of Russia's feint to bring Ukrainian forces closer to the border. Now they have to manage all of the left behind equipment. Putin remains a strategic genius. |

Looks like a bunch of junk that’s either never work again or cost the US a lot of money in repairs.

Looks like a scrap/junk yard for pulling parts. LKQ of Russia and Ukraine!
Some look like they have been there since the beginning of the conflict. Oh well , Russians sure are messy. |

Did they abandon it after a single pistol shot and all run like fuck for the border? Or is such garbage it made it a few miles then all broke down and nobody has a clue how to fix any of it.
Alot of their armor seems abandoned and not well used. In WW2 this was common, first shot at their tanks and many would throw up the hatch and run like fuck without even firing back. Good to see they have made improvements...over the years. Makes me think weve been sold a fucking lie for half a century to build all this shit to stomp out Russias guts, when it appears Russia cant even get out of the way of its own ass. Russia should stick to what they know best, murdering unarmed civilians in the dark at 3am..when nobody can see. |
