So i'm at the local county court house today to work on a server. I am going throught the scanner and forget i have by trusty 1"  blade pocket knife in my pocket and my gerber multi tool on my belt. I figure no big deal on the knife it's one of those cheap promo knives that always breaks about a week after you use it. If they fuss i'll just toss it. I drop everything in the basket and head for the detector. A deputy grabs me and says i can't bring the knife in. No big deal i toss it in the trash. I then proceed to strap on the my gerber back onto my belt. I ask him if it's ok and he says sure no problem. I show him the blades and he tells me those are considered a tool and not a weapon. WTF?! and a 1 inch blade on a pos pocket knife is a weapon? This whole thing just makes me nuts.

Try carrying a gun next time.  Tell him it's a "Tool" that you use to fix the REALLY broken down servers.  Or, it's a "Tool" you use when your life is threatened.  See what they say about that  [rolleyes]

Trust me we have plenty here. In fact some days i have to remind several of my coworkers to breath.

Good thing i left my bushy in the trunk in the parking deck. I hit the range on the way home today. If i can firure out a way to attach a screwdriver bit to the barrell maybe i could get away with that [:D]
