Because the sites cookie system sucks.
The cookie aparently is IP sensitive and the server checks to see what IP the cookie was assigned to last.
Unlike preban or just about any other site on the web who uses the standard cookie.

I have no trouble at all staying active. Have you gone to your profile and set the auto login? Try going there and resetting the cookie, and submit. Also check the FAQ in the profile section... fullclip
