I dislike EDM and dubstep by itself. I'm also not a huge fan of hip-hop. But elements of those genres can sometimes work with metal. And I like listening to people innovate. Musicians are music fans too, and sometimes it works when they try to fuse stuff they like to listen to with stuff they play. People used to lose their minds with metal bands growling, keyboard players, orchestra arrangements and everything else, etc. Some of those things are basically accepted now and no one bats an eye. I listen to a lot of stuff, and I would get very bored with a band if year after year they come out with the same shit, just slightly different hooks and lyrics, like AC/DC. I listen to their old stuff, but why bother with anything they've done in the last 20+ years?
