Naw, it's just a lowly C5.

Z06 cost about the same, but comes only with a hard-top (non-removable), no spare tire (I have "run-flats" - Z06 has Goodyear SuperCar tires) - 406HP would have been great, not but not too practical.

Wait a minute - Corvette practical!!!!!

The Z06 is what amounts to a factory race car - titanium exaust - Z45 handling package - specials wheels/tires - heck, the glass is even thinner to save weight.

The Z06 I almost bought was "Millenium Yellow" - great looking - but I think it would become "old" real quick.

Believe it or not, mine's rated 19 MPG city/28  MPG high-way.

My C5 has a 0-60 time of less than 5.0 seconds and a top end of 178MPH.

The Z06 has a 0-60 time of about 4.0 seconds and a top end of 172MPH (geared to use the 425 ft-lbs of torque it generates).

BTW--Can I drive it?  [:D]

NICE.  I would love to have one but it's not practical.  I opted for a Trans am.  Almost as much power and it has a back seat...sorta.

You don't have to worry about me - a car like that is to be seen and heard - not that I don't like to let it run once-in-a-while at the proper place/time (open road - no traffic).

My dad's a LEO upstate by West Point, and one of my cousins is on the job in Manhattan (well Harlem, but..from September until a month or so ago, he was on Staten Island...)

I was thinking the same (except the strobes)..and I *know* they'd love it [;D]

How many guns can you fit into that thing?  That is your new SHTF vehicle correct? [;)]

Very nice.  Too bad most people can't fit in that thing.  Too small.  And I'm not talking about overweight people.

Top speed rated of 226MPH on an oval track, and 0-60 in 2.7 seconds if I remember the Car and Driver article on it.  I had a friend who worsk for Network Appliance that almost bought one.  Talk about scary fast.

Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas...
