Was given one today along with a USAF survival knife.  What can anyone tell me about the M7 Milpar(that's what it says on the guard between your fingers and the blade)?

Will it fit on an M4 type upper?

standard issue for the M-16 series from initial issue untill the M-9 came out, very common, will fit a M-4 with a 14.5 in barrel, a 16 puts the lfash hider too far out.
