I'm addicted to the audio books but have always bought UNABRIDGED books. I really love David McCullough's works and want to buy his "TRUMAN" on CD but its abridged. Any suggestions?

you really don't miss much IIRC, pretty sure the author has input so the really important stuff isn't skipped

Unabridged means everything (from an original version) has been kept, or it's complete. Abridged means something has been deleted.
Hope this helps Patty!

thank you. I wish I knew who narrarated TRUMAN by David McCollough, if McCollough did then I'd buy it for sure - he's awesome. Patty

Audible.com (download) has it unabridged. On sale for $11.
ETA: I think McCullough narrates the abridged version.

I just got through the complete See Dick, See Jane audio books, unabridged of course. Just hearing it, and not being able to actually see Dick or Jane does take something away but at least the text is there in its entirety.

I've never listended to anything that wasn't unabridged. I can't imagine listening to War and Peace - I might have to give that a try. It would have been great to take on my 1500 trip to Reno a few week ends back!
