TWO DAYS!!! 20190313
A couple of two-page archived threads: https://www.ar15.com/forums/general/Ben-Afleck-new-movie-Triple-Frontier-actually-looks-good/5-2173884/ https://www.ar15.com/forums/general/New-Netflix-film-Triple-Frontier-looks-legit/5-2173654/ |

It does look interesting however I have a hunch it's another "good guys get clobbered" type picture.

|
First ten minutes has pretty good gunplay so far.
Edit: guy had plates in his PC, so that’s neat. |
|
Just finished. I recommend it, the environment is beautiful. Effects were on point.
Affleck uses an eotech and oh shit! They got it right. Attached File Although that thermal drift from jungle to mountain |
|
Liking this so far. The choices these guys have to make is nuts. Classic “what is your soul worth?”

Watching when I get home. Been waiting a couple months for this to come out. Looks good.

Added to list.....Thank goodness it's not in Spanish with subtitles.
I swear, I can watch Chinese, Russian, Finnsh, Japanese, Turk, French, Korean, and damn near everything else but I can't stand a show in Spanish....I don't mean that south of the border gibberish either but shows from Spain with real Spaniards doing the talking. Italian is a close second. There was one about time travel centered mostly on Spain and it was really interesting but damn the language grated on me so much I quit it after a few episodes. |

It was a pretty good flick. The movie had me laughing because an old squad leader of mine talked about doing this to one of the Mexican cartels.

I cringed when I saw Kathryn Bigelow's name in the credits and then when the RPG blowed up the armored Suburban real good and flipped it over 87 times and the single 40mm round killed everyone on the second floor of the bldg I knew I was in for some Michael Bay-style pyrotechnics!

I just watched it and it is pretty good. Great location shoots. Lots of AR action and a few AK's.

The movie was okay but so much of seemed to let me down. For all of them being so "high speed," they made a lot of stupid decisions.
Spoilers... Click To View Spoiler They have a full shipping container full of gear but no night vision or suppressors? Why didn't they simply bury half the money near the airport, take the helicopter to safe area, drop the money off with half the team, and the other half goes back and retrieves the other hidden cash? They had millions and had contacts everywhere...they could have easily gotten another helicopter and made a second trip (or even use the original one). That would have solved everything...no crash landing, no one getting killed, etc.. Just seemed so idiotic to just "wing it" with a grossly overloaded helicopter at high altitude. And maybe I missed it but did they have zero back up plan if the bird goes down? Just seemed like a lot of piss poor planning coming from supposed elite/battle tested vets. |

It starts out decent, then it gets dumber as the movie progresses.
Nothing wrong with the acting, just piss poor examples of writing like Affleck's character taking a 180 at the drop of a hat for no reason other than to advance the plot. |

Bout to tuck into my hybrid memory foam, individually wrapped coil spring bunk and watch this.

View Quote which time...when gets super greedy or when he gets shot in the head?I think he was an example of how greedy men can get. He completely gave up all of his discipline for money. The team was slowly falling apart. The way they moved as a team made sense though...except for the pilot. Maybe I’m wrong...but don’t think pilots are getting a ton of cqb time.

Well it moves right along up to the raid, haven't finished yet. Drunky McBatman sure looks like a fat washed up commando dude

It’s Steinback’s The Pearl, but with guns and Metallica.
And a happier ending. |

Looks OK. Can someone remind me why you all hate afflack so much?
