When I bring up favorites to enter AR15.com
I have a hard time finding it. I notice that a
few, very few, have a special graphic to the
left of the text for the site. It would be cool to have one for AR15.com.

Yeah, I think you just need to name the graphic "fav.ico" and drop it in the root dir of the server. On Hind sight though, i suppose you already knew that.
