Heaving Hill, BIB, 100 proof at sub-$15-20 price point.

Love it? Hate it? Indifferent? Interested to find out what the ARFCOM gang has to say about it.

Edit: Tried it. Smells and tastes like a vanilla cake with creamed corn from a can for filling. Not bad, and not great.

It’s the natty lite of the whiskey world.

Corn whiskey, and as someone mentioned above, White Dog (Buffalo Trace non-aged mash) is a good tool for beginners to train the nose and tongue as it gives you the actual liquid of what bourbon starts out as.

Other than that, I guess it's also a cheap way to get drunk?

When I wear my Mellow Corn t-shirt to the local whiskey bar, I always get compliments.

And it's fun to make cocktails with it.

You pretty much nailed it with "not bad, not great."

But it's different. And useful for seeing what flavors come from the corn, without having to drink any nasty white dog.

I don’t mind it, especially for the price.

Interested to see a cocktail recipe where it really shines.
