Grey market is $16k+ If you don't have a relationship with an AD, on a "waitlist", or bundle with PM models - it's a bit tough to get one. |

@grondike, February of 1983. Not in nearly as good of shape as yours but still a worthwhile piece for the collection. Both military and watch collections, I guess.

I love that era. Here's a bunch of Benrus Vietnam era models; the first ones are GI issued '65 and' 69 DTU-2A/P models. The latter are civilian Benrus Wrist Alarm models (the same watch as Steve McQueen's watch in Bullitt but it has a dual-crown alarm complication). |

This watch spends pretty much all of its' time in my gun safe, but I take it out and wind it up two or three times a year just to watch it run.
I bought it at a pawn shop in 1970. The case is 18K gold,, and it has a 21-jewel movement. It's not only my favorite watch, but is my most prized possession. The inscription on the back inner cover reads: Presented to / Thomas Taylor / by the / Engineers, Firemen, and Shopmen / of the / B. & O. R.R. / Newark, O. / Jan. 19, 1885.
