I’m not going to be buying anything to roast green beans or a burr grinder to grind whole beans.

I’m not a big coffee drinker, maybe two tumblers full a week. Mostly light or medium roasts, I’m about out of my current bag of Seattle’s Best and start getting into some Folger’s.

What do y’all like?

BRCC Coffee Saves Roast
(The Silencer Smooth is pretty good also)
The coffee is pretty pricey but I like the company philosophy and they have some great cups.

Community Coffee Breakfast Blend

Dunkin Doughnut

All three are medium roast. I really dislike coffee that is roasted to the point of having a burnt taste.

ETA: My wife got me a coffee subscription from Atlas coffee company last year that has been pretty interesting. They send one bag of coffee per month from different areas.

I have a similar enjoyment of Waffle House coffee, haven’t gone to WF in a few months because of my diet. I’d go in and order the All-Star breakfast out of habit.

At Thanksgiving, the hosts had some great coffee they got from Costco.  I'm getting some on my next trip:

Terrific flavor.

8 O'clock is my normal go to.
I found Dominican Estate Peaberry in a high end market with a dedicated coffee shop/roaster.  It is a lighter roasted bean and is classified on the "morning blend" side (although it can be brewed to any strength you prefer) but it is my very favorite bean.  Very limited in availability and when my store gets it in it gets sold out in a few days.  People that love this bean usually get 5-10 pounds of it when its in.  It was not available for almost 2 years to me (I couldn't find it) and actually had an ARFCOM mod gift me a few pounds of it when he found it!

All I buy are Kirkland (Costco) whole bean coffees.  They have 2-lb. bags of excellent offerings from Columbia, Sumatra, Costa Rica, Rwanda, and others for a good price.

Cafe Bustelo Supreme (black can) makes a good affordable cup of espresso if you don't tamp the grounds very much so that it gets bitter.
Illy makes a better cup of espresso but it costs $10 more per can, though I sometimes buy one mostly for the aluminum can with a screw on aluminum lid.

Didn't understand all the hype with BRCC a few years ago.

I saw some at the local gun shop and hot damn it's good coffee.

Im on the subscriptio plan now, get Freedom Fuel delivered every 30 days.

I ran out one week and picked up the smallest container of folgers to hold me over. I used to drink it before BRCC. It was the cheapest I could buy and I figured it couldn't be that much worse. Holy Fuck it was bad, almost undrinkable.

I forced myself to drink it right up until my BRCC was delivered. When it got here I did a side by side comparison and it's freaking remarkable how much better BRCC is than folgers.

You might not notice any difference between the yellow and black cans with brewed coffee but making espresso is a process which can yield widely varying results depending on how it's made, since it's all about controlling the many variables and finding the combination that makes the best tasting (to you) cup of java.  I've found that the black can makes a more robust cup of espresso than the yellow can probably because it's been roasted darker.

I love the company and all but I haven't had any coffee from them that I love.  we buy the local grocery store brand French roast.  good stuff.

Agree with Earp that Cafe Bustello is actually really good coffee and its cheap as they get.

Have you ever found rocks in the bag? I've read a lot of the reviews and a bunch of people complained of rocks tearing up their grinders with Peet's.

I most recently got a couple bags of Counter Culture Big Trouble and it's pretty good.
