I am pleased to say I will be sitting in the South next year!
I am very excited! We also have a new very well qualified man sitting in the West this year. We have a dual EA scheduled in January. It should be a fun year. So where are y'all sitting in 2018? |
|

Wherever the WM needs me, or on the sidelines with the PM Mafia.
|
|
|
I was supposed to sit the West, but due to change in work change I will be in the North or Tiler.

PM Mafia as well. Just completed my year as Commander of the Commandery.
|
|
I'll be Jr. Stewart come July 2018.
Starting my 7 year trek to the East. |

The Grand Encampment Regs state Commanderies have to be inspected for proficiency. Here in Wisconsin we're inspected on Full-form Opening, Receiption of the Flag, Receiption of Grand Officers and the Order of the Temple. Being Commander's a little stressful come inspection season. |

I've sat in the East in each body now. |

I went all out and bought a wig and beard so I can sit on the sidelines with the other PM's and heckle the new WM. Especially since he's my business partner.
"That's not how I did it in my year" is all queued up to be constantly heard in my Lodge. I never thought I'd be comfortable out of a chair, but I am leaving the East with style this time. Oh yeah, and I'm Chaplain in my other Lodge. |

Last year made my third year as Secretary.. Taking a break from chairs this year and probably next year to coach my son's baseball team. I still do Pro Tem in any seat as needed.

I randomly ended up sitting at a table with a guy who reads this section, although he's not a member here. After learning I was from PA he asked if I was the one asking about Mannington on ARFCOM... What are the chances of that??? So Brother, join the site if you want, and if you don't, it was nice meeting you. I will be in contact with you either way. |

I'll be on the sidelines as always (never have been or wanted to be an officer). Hopefully, I'll be looking for a new Lodge to join in a new home in Free America by the end of this calendar year.
I'm a life member in my Blue Lodge, Grand Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine. I'll likely be closer to the Shrine and may resume attending meetings there. |
|
Sideliner. I need to put some work in on fundraising for the lodge and learning the staircase lecture. If I can get that lecture down we will only need someone to pick up the 3rd degree lecture and we will be 100% self sufficient for degree work. As it stands we have to ask other lodges for assistance with lectures.

I am not even a MM yet (doing my Fellowcraft degree in 10 days) and they are already hinting about making me Treasurer for next year. We have a small lodge in terms of active members, many people have held office for multiple years or multiple times (or both).
I'll probably do it if asked. I'll be a MM in time to take office, if all goes well. Enjoying the journey and I figure it will be a way to be of service to the Lodge and also to take a first shot at participating in the ceremony of the meetings in a small way. |
